Dear Representative Hudson,

On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) – with over 2 million members nationwide, I write to express our strong support for the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (HR 38).

As an organization that stands firmly for the protection of constitutional rights, including the Second Amendment, we are proud to support this important piece of legislation. The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would ensure that law-abiding citizens who possess state-issued concealed carry permits can exercise their right to carry a firearm across state lines without fear of conflicting state laws or unjust legal repercussions. For many of our members – who often travel for family, work, or leisure – the ability to travel freely and safely while maintaining their right to protect themselves is paramount.

We firmly believe that the right to self-defense does not end at the state border, and that individuals who have been thoroughly vetted and approved to carry a concealed weapon should not have their rights restricted when traveling between states. By recognizing and respecting concealed carry permits issued by other states, this bill will provide seniors, and all citizens, with greater peace of mind as they travel.

Furthermore, this bill’s inclusion of residents of Constitutional Carry states ensures that those living in states where the right to carry is not infringed upon will also have their freedoms respected across the nation. This is a crucial step towards upholding the core principles of freedom and personal responsibility that have made this country great.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to defending the Second Amendment rights of all Americans, and for your continued leadership in Congress. We look forward to working with you to ensure this important legislation becomes law.

Sincerely,

Andrew J. Mangione Jr.
